Stillwater, NY officials to meet with EPA over contaminated water supply

December 29, 2008 - The Village Board is scheduled to meet with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency at 10 a.m. Tuesday to discuss a report on PCBs in the village water supply.

Last May, state Department of Health testing revealed PCBs in the drinking water for the first time. Although the levels found in the water supply are well below state and federal standards, Mayor Ernest Martin Sr. said he's not satisfied and is adamant that a new and PCB-free water supply should be found for his village's customers as soon as possible.
