July 26, 2008 - CHICO -- Work will begin Monday on a $2.5 million project to bring clean water to a south Chico neighborhood with contaminated well water.
A little more than 60 homes in the Skyway Avenue subdivision will be hooked up to the Cal Water system, said Ron Kurtz, spokesman for ABB, the corporation being held responsible for cleanup costs for contamination by chemical pollutants that occurred years ago to the neighborhood's groundwater.
