June 24, 2008 - Health officials have discovered contamination in a residential well near the former CTS of Asheville plant on Mills Gap Road that was previously found free of the contaminant.
Testing by the Buncombe County Health Department revealed levels of the industrial solvent trichloroethene, TCE, are more than four times the safe federal drinking water limit in one well that serves three households in the Oaks subdivision.
