Update on toxic chemicals found in Texas Township

December 22, 2008 - The Environmental Protection Agency released the latest update on the hundreds of toxic barrels found behind a Texas Township home.

Investigators found 500 barrels full of explosive and some radioactive material in August after a fire on the property. The EPA has been testing the barrels, soil and water from the site since that discovery, trying to determine what exactly what they're dealing with.

The EPA now says the cleanup of the site will cost about a million dollars, they also say that only a small amount of hazardous material still remains on the property. The EPA says it's identified and sorted between 40,000 and 50,000 smaller containers that were inside the drums.
